All youth breeders of Holland
Lops are welcome to participate.There
will be 4 age groups
for the contest and they will be broken down as follows:
5 yrs – 7 yrs
8 yrs – 10 yrs
11 yrs – 14 yrs
15 yrs – 18 yrs
There will be a total of 7 Holland Lops of various
classes to be judged.A chosen ARBA
judge will first judge all 7 rabbits.That judge’s comments will be recorded and used as
a score card for the
contest.Each youth member will then be
called to the judging table
one at a time.You will be given an ARBA Standard of Perfection to reference and a
writer.
You will then judge each rabbit
and your comments will also be recorded.After all
participating youth members have completed judging, we will
compare all comments to
the ARBA judge’s comments and determine a winner for
each age group.
The ARBA judge will do a mini
clinic to explain why they judged the rabbits as they did. This would be a great time to ask the judge any
questions you have been wondering about.
The judge will then announce all the winners of the contest.The top winner of each age
group will win a
prize.There will be ribbons for all 2nd
and 3rd place winners.
Then the names of the top 4
winners (1 from each age group) will be placed in a cup.The
judge will pull 1 name from the cup and
that youth member will win a beautiful, folding,
wooden grooming table made and
donated by Josh and Robin Laymon.This
way whether
you’re 5 years old or 18 years old, you can win the big prize!
